Duncan Middle School is officially getting Chromebooks.
Every seventh-grade student who wants a Chromebook will pay a $30 deposit to receive theirs. The Chromebook deployment took place throughout last week with classes going on different days.
DMS students Addison Webb and Dylan Carter reflected on what they see as the benefits of seventh-graders receiving Chromebooks.
Webb said she thinks “they will be mostly used for work.”
Carter said he thinks the computers will help seventh-graders with studying and class work.
“It will be very big and helpful,” he said.
The seventh-grade Chromebook deployment is only the beginning. Over the next few years, all middle school and high school students will receive Chromebooks to help with the 1 to 1 initiative.
