Thanksgiving Day is here.
Many families will gather together to celebrate. Even with Covid-19, some are still having Thanksgiving.
Carlos Hinshaw is a student at Duncan Middle School, and he is not planning on traveling anywhere for Thanksgiving.
Hinshaw’s Thanksgiving consists of eating with his family. Even with Covid, Carlos is still celebrating this holiday. Hinshaw has some fun activities planned.
“We have a wrestling tournament the day before,” Hinshaw said.
Kelby Fox, another DMS student, is very excited about Thanksgiving Day.
She will not be traveling anywhere, but she will be spending time with her family. On Thanksgiving, she usually sits and enjoys her food with her family.
Fox said that after she and her family eat their meals, they usually take a family shopping trip. Her favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal is mashed potatoes.
Fox and her family are still going to be celebrating even with Covid still being around. She said her favorite dessert is pumpkin pie.
She said that with Covid being around her Thanksgiving this year won’t be the same as the last. Fox doesn’t have any kind of special activities she does on Thanksgiving.
Even though Covid-19 has stopped many people’s plans for this year, some families are still having this special day.
