The basketball eight-grade lady demons are played Elgin on Monday, and they won with a score of 28-25.
The seventh and eighth-graders played at 5 p.m., and the girls knew they would do well.
Prior to the game, Noelle McRoy said she felt both teams would play well.
¨I think the game will be very close that’s how it was last time we fouled a lot last time, but we have been working on it,” McRoy said.
The game was held at the Duncan High School, marking the first change of venue this season. Previously, the game was supposed to be played at Duncan Middle School.
McRoy said she had some concerns about the game.
“It was not fair they threw Kerney on the floor, and the refs didn’t call the fouls on the other team’s side so it just wasn’t fair,” McRoy said. “We still won though.”
Hannah Woods said she was proud of how the game went.
“Yes it’s what I expected but, I did expect to win by more,” Woods said. “They are pretty good.”
The next game will be Thursday against Ardmore at 4:30 p.m. Both seventh and eighth-graders Lady Demons will play at home.
