Eddie Mullins and his wife, Julie Mullins, have been dating since he was a freshman in high school and she was in eighth grade.
“We have been together for 31 years and married for 28 years,” Eddie Mullins said.
They were not friends when they met, but they met through their friends.
They went to the same high school being Duncan High School and college being Southwest Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) and Cameron University.
They met at a church and started dating in the spring of 1988.
Eddie Mullins proposed on Christmas of 1988, at his house. They got married in her first year of college and in his second year. He did get her father’s blessing to get married.
“The first thing that caught my eye about her was her eyes,” Eddie Mullins said. Their first date was at the movies they watched Rambo III.
They have three children, Sitota who is twelve the youngest, Andrew who is twenty the middle child, and Joseph who is twenty-two the oldest. They have one granddaughter who is nine months old.
They both work for the school, Eddie Mullins being the P.E. coach and baseball coach, and Julie Mullins who is the Payroll Coordinator for the school district.
Love is something two can obtain. Love is lasting. Love is caring. These two are definitely in love.
