Today, I wanted to talk about being an office aide.
I am sure you have seen office aides walking around in the hallways, walking in your class to give your teacher something or you might even have an office aide friend.
I am an office aide during third hour. Now, you might be wondering, “why does this matter,” or “I have always wondered what Office Aides do.”
I can answer both of these.
I typically run errands for the office and teachers, but I also get to help out in the clothes closet. Each office aide hour, there are two office aides, and my office aide friend is Preston Giles.
Most of the time we spend the hour making food bags in the clothes closet, and sometimes we will just read in the library, when there is nothing else to do.
Sometimes we get to make copies and eat snacks. It is a super fun hour, and sometimes, when I have some extra work, I work on that when we are free.
There is an office aide every single hour.
Over the summer, you had to email the principals to sign up and from there they would get back to you with an application. After that, you had to fill it out and send it in.
Overall, I would totally recommend applying for office aide because it is SO MUCH FUN.
