Girl Scout Cookies have been around for more than 100 years, and many people still enjoy them when they hit the market. From Thin Mints to Tagalongs to the newest flavor Toast-Yay, these flavors have been a success for years on end. Now, the tradition continues even now. Some of the girl scouts in DMS have started to sell these cookies again. Girl scout cookies are a fundraiser to help finance the girl scout program. It helps pay for their troop trips and the equipment that they bring. There will be several kinds of cookies available to buy. The Lemon-ups, Do-si-dos, Tagalongs, and Thin Mints will be five dollars each and the S’mores and Toffee-Tastic will be six dollars each. Kahlen Wininger, girl scout, says they have big plans for their goals.
“We hope to sell $50,000 dollars worth of cookies,” Wininger said.
Wininger also says that they aim to sell 35,000 boxes of cookies this time.
Raven Hunter, eighth grade student, also has big goals for herself.
“My plan is to sell 650 boxes of cookies, and that is also everyone’s goal,” Hunter said.
There are several students selling these cookies, so if you can find somebody selling cookies, feel free to buy a box.
