On Monday the Duncan Demons played the Marlow Outlaws in a baseball scrimmage. The Demons beat Marlow in the scrimmage.
“I think I did decently good,” baseball player Jayce Ramirez said. “I think I did really good when I played at third base.
“I need to work on my hitting because when I would hit I would spin almost all the way around.”
The scrimmage was from 4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The varsity team played about five innings, and then some of the junior varsity players got to play the next couple of innings.
The Demons scored five runs, and the Outlaws scored three.
‘’I don’t think we were prepared for the scrimmage,’’ Ramirez said. “I was surprised by a couple of people and I think it was good for the coach to see what everyone can do.
“I think we are ready to play Elgin, after seeing what we did to Marlow on a couple of days of practice makes me wonder what we could do to Elgin with four more practices.”
The Demons will play the Elgin Owls on March 8. The game will start at 4 p.m. The game will be played at the Duncan Middle School baseball field. Junior varsity and varsity will play.
