Guess what?!?! Another Charlie Thorne book is out!! It arrived at my house yesterday, and I cannot wait to read it. I will probably write another column about it, once I’ve read it. Another exciting announcement, there is a 5th and 6th book to the Don’t Judge a Girl by Her Cover, series. I am currently reading a book called the Shack. It is a really good book, but I am only about half way through it. My column, however, is not about books. It is about waiting until the last moment to work on something, or even care about it.
Most of the time students in my grade and others, like to procrastinate and not turn in things until the very last minute. Sadly, this leads to having too much work, stress, and a failing grade, because they did not have enough time to finish. The only way this happens, is when you start to say “I’ll do it later, I would rather do this or that.” If you would just do your work when it is handed out, this would not necessarily be an issue.
I personally have struggled with doing something early or on time. I have a blanket business, where I make blankets, so sometimes I really want to do that assignment later, and instead, make a blanket or watch TV. I have to tell myself, that all I will be thinking about while I am having fun, is that assignment that I did not do. So next time, do your assignment on time, and have fun after it is done. And guess what?! You will be guilt free, because your assignment is done and ready to be graded. Have a great rest of your Sunday, and have a great week. Only 7 more weeks to go!
