Last week, the Duncan Demons lost to the Blanchard Lions with a score of 12 to 2.
The Demons record is 6 and 2.
“I need to work on reading the ball better,’’ varsity player Cannon Brenneis said. “The team needs to work on batting at we need to get in the batting cages. I really think that we could’ve done better.”
The varsity’s next game will be in the Elgin Tournament. Varsity’s next regular-season game will be against the Altus Bulldogs; the game was moved from the Duncan Middle School field to the Duncan High School field.
The Junoir Varsity also played against the Blanchard Lions and lost in a similar fashion to the varsity team. The score was 5 to 1 in favor of the Lions.
Junior varsity has a record of 4 and 5, having lost the last four games.
Bryson Poindexter, junior varsity player, said there are areas the team members need to improve.
“I need to work on hitting because I’m striking out a lot,’’ Poindexter said. “We need to work on getting rid of the ball faster and not letting the ball get to the outfield, but overall we need to work a lot on talking to each other and communicating.”
The Duncan Demons JV team will play against the Cache Bulldogs JV for its next game. The game will be played at Cache.
