The end of 8th grade is coming up which means high school ,and many opportunities like Colorguard will be available. ColorGuard is a part of the Duncan High School band that waves the flags in a choreographed pattern. Rehearsals will start July 29 and will continue until August 6th. But practices for the tryouts will be at the Duncan High School band room on May 3rd and May 4th at 3:30-5:00 and tryouts on Thursday May 6 at 3:30 to 5:00.
There will be a lot of students trying out for colorguard. Some people trying out for colorguard are Dalila Hernadez, Alexis Sanders,and Hannah Dunkin. They said they hope to make the team, but they also think that they won’t make it due to a lot of highschoolers trying out this year. They also said that they are ready to overcome the physical barriers and challenges that colorguard has to offer. Alexis Sanders said that if she made the team she would be ready for the hot weather practices in July and to be able to practice with the highschool band.This season will be a great one and we can’t wait for it to start.
