The Duncan Middle School softball team played the Chickisha Fightin’ Chicks on August 17. They brought home a win with a final score of 8-7. There were no homers scored in this game. Zoey Powell, an eighth grader on the Duncan Demons softball team said, “ The other team hit our ankles a lot and we walked many times.” The Duncan Demons have played six games and have won five. Powell also said “ the game was good, and we were prepared.”
Another person interviewed who plays for the team is Lilliana VanBlaricom. VanBlaricom got a walk during the game. “we scored about 10 to 15 hits the previous game,” says VanBlaricom. The Duncan Demons also played the Sterling Tigers on August 19th. Karly Alvarez, and 8th grade student who all plays on the team , got two hits on the second game and scored one run. Finley Davis who is also an 8th grade player scored the most runs in the game against the Sterling Tigers.. Their next game will be in Comanche, against the Indians at 4:30.
