Today, the solar eclipse occurred across the United States.
During this event, the moon goes between Earth and the Sun, which blocks light throughout the world. Tammy Bennett, STEMS teacher at the Duncan Middle School, was watching the NASA video throughout the day. This video showed all the different stages of the eclipse and what the eclipse is.
Carsyn Etheridge, DMS eighth-grader, learned a few things about the eclipse today. She learned that when watching the solar eclipse you have to have certain glasses protecting your eyes or bad cirumstances could be experienced.
Etheridge noted that the eclipse is ” marvelous.”
The next solar eclipse is supposed to occur April 24, 2024.
