Will the vaccines help keep covid away? Recently the covid vaccine has been released to everyone 12 and up. Everyone has their own opinion about vaccinations, and if they work or not.
Atticus Booth, an 8th-grade student, is a student who is fully vaccinated. Booth said, “the vaccine is okay, but it made my arm sore for a few days.” His response to
why he got the vaccine was because his mom made him.
8th- grade student, Jacob Conn, got his vaccine because he had covid and he doesn’t want to get it again. Conn said that “I think people in our school should get it if they are comfortable with it, and it will help put the numbers down.”
Phillip Wolff, a 7th-grade student, expresses his feelings about the vaccines. Wolff says, “I don’t really trust the vaccine yet and I think we need more facts on it.” He believes everyone should not get the vaccine yet because he wouldn’t want to put students in danger.
7th-grade student, Raelyn Crow, has explained how she feels about the Covid vaccines. Crow is fully vaccinated and her reasoning for getting the vaccine is because her mom made her. She is still questioning if the vaccine will work or not. Crow says, “if the vaccine will help the community stay safe then why shouldn’t we get it?”
In Oklahoma, 43.6% of people are fully vaccinated as of August. 30, 2021. As of now many students have gotten vaccinated. Is it necessary to? Or should we stand back from the vaccine?
