The movie Dumplin is about a girl who isn’t very confident in herself. She always wanted to be in a beauty pageant but her mom wouldn’t let her because she thought she wasn’t fit. It gave me an outlook on people’s feelings. I really enjoyed this movie because it makes me feel like you can’t always make fun of people before you really know them as a person. This movie is a comedy/musical. It was made in 2018 and is PG-13. This movie is an hour and 50 minutes long. The woman who directed this movie is Anne Fletcher. The discretion for this movie says” The plus-size, teenage daughter of a former beauty queen signs up for mom’s pageant as a protest that escalates when other contestants follow in her footsteps, revolutionizing the pageant and their small Texas town. Overall I would recommend this movie, it’s a heartwarming movie and it makes you feel as if you have a purpose.
