2 students talked about their experience on their virtual year. They discuss their thoughts about coming back to school this year.
An 8th grader named Kaleb Cummings said that he did not like being virtual because the teachers were too strict. All they wanted him to do was sit there and not be able to move around. He said it was way harder than doing the work at school, and there were no teachers to help him. He said he felt like he was having to do highschool work, and he had to do work that he didn’t know how to do. He said he had to go on a lot of different websites. If he had the choice to go back to being virtual he said he wouldn’t. He likes being at school a lot more than being virtual.
Another student interviewed a 7th grader named Connor Salin. He said that he did not like being virtual. To him being virtual it was more challenging than being at school. He said he didn’t have to go on a lot of websites, but obviously he had to go on some. It was more challenging for him because there were no teachers so he would not go back to being virtual if he had a choice.
The last 8th grade student interviewed that was virtual last year but came back this year is Cherylynn Knight. She did not like being virtual, she likes being at school way more. She thought that it was kind of hard being virtual because there were no teachers there to help her. For her she only had to go on a few websites for school work. Personally, she said that she would never go back to virtual if she had a choice because she hated it. She didn’t like having to stay at home and doing nothing because of covid. She thought that it was very boring being virtual.
