New Year’s day is coming up fast, and it is time to set some resolutions for the new year. New year resolutions are personal goals that can improve someone’s year or life. Everyone has their own resolutions and they mean different things for everyone.
A 7th- grader student, Mason Harris, has expressed what his three New Year resolutions are. The first resolution that he had was to get jacked. He said, “that he gets made fun of sometimes because I am small with my muscles.” The second resolution is to get $100 million, he said “I don’t know how to get the money but I will figure it out.” Lastly, Mason Harris really wants a girlfriend, so he said “hit me up, ladies.”
McKenzie Graham, a 6th-grade student, explains her three new years resolutions. Her first resolution is to be more organized; she says, “I have a messy locker and I don’t really like it.” Her second resolution is to be the “coolest coolest coolest cat ever.” Lastly, her third resolution is to be interviewed for the newspaper more often.
Breckyn Root, an 8th-grader at DMS, explains what her three New Years’ resolutions are. Her first New Year’s resolution is to start working out. Her second resolution is to eat healthily and have a better diet. Her last New Years’ resolution is to be super speedy: she says, “I want to win every track meet which means I have to work on being super speedy.”
Blaze Black, a 6th-grade student, explains his three New Years’ resolution. His first resolution is to get better at basketball. His second resolution is to be a cooler cat than McKenzie. Blaze’s last resolution is to be interviewed a lot more than he already is for the DMS newspaper.
Jayson Marquez-Hill, an 8th-grade student, explains what his New Years’ resolutions are and what they mean to him. His first resolution is to get Supreme Air Force 1 shoes because “they are cool and I’ve wanted them for a while.” his second resolution is to get work out and get a 6 pack; he says, “My brother work out and I want to start working out with him.” lastly, his third resolution is to last in a relationship with his girlfriend for the entire year.
Riley Hunter, a 7th-grade student, explains his New Years Resolution. Riley doesn’t have many resolutions but his main goal is to “just get through the year.” His first goal is to play better at golf and to shoot under 95. His last resolution is to get a better grade than he did this year.
Marshall Harris, a 7th-grade student, expresses what his New Years’ resolutions are. His first resolution is to get better grades than he did this year. His second resolution is to practice basketball so he can play better at games. His last resolution is to have no drama in his life because “It’s bad for my mental health and its very negative.”
Eric Hernandez, a 7th-grade student, explains her goals for 2022. His first resolution is to have no lunch detention at school because he wants his “teachers to like him more.” his second resolution is to have better grades in school. His third resolution is to not get in trouble with his teachers or his parents.
Now you know the New Year resolutions for some 6th to 8th-grade students at DMS. Everyone will have their own resolutions and they mean something different to each one of them. So go make some New Year’s resolutions and try to accomplish them during 2022. Happy New Year, see you never 2021.
