In Duncan, Christmas break is now over and school has started. Many students had a very good Christmas break and had an even better Christmas. All students and staff members have a different way of celebrating Christmas and also have many favorite parts of Christmas; it could be opening gifts, spending time with family or friends, or just Christmas dinner. These are some Duncan Middle School students expressing how their Christmas went.
Mason Harris, a 7th-grade student, explains how his Christmas was great. Mason’s favorite part about Christmas was spending time with his family, specifically his grandpa.
He says, “I love spending time with my Grandpa because he has always been there for me since I was a young child.”
Mason’s favorite gift for Christmas was his PlayStation5 and he spent the rest of his winter break playing games on it.
Riley Hunter, another 7th-grade student, expresses how he had an amazing Christmas break. This Christmas break Riley Hunter went to the OU game.
He says, “I was very excited to go to the OU game and see OU take the win in person.”
Riley’s favorite gifts for Christmas are all the new clothes he received because he takes his style very seriously. The first things he did on Christmas were wake up, open gifts, then hang out with his sister.
He said, “I love my sister because she’s the funniest person I know. She can always make me laugh when I need someone to cheer me up.”
Lastly, Gerardo Moran, an additional 7th-grade student, explains his interesting Christmas break, He had a very good Christmas break even though there was a lot of drama.
He says, “I had a small amount of family drama which I always prepare my popcorn for.”
His favorite part of Christmas was spending time with family and friends and eating lots of food, especially at Christmas dinner. His favorite gifts this year were all the new clothes he received.
This is how a few of the students at DMS celebrated their Christmas. They all had many different favorite parts of Christmas and also the gifts they received; even if it’s receiving clothes, going to an OU football game, or just spending time with family and friends. Now since Christmas break is over it’s time to start working hard in school and prepare for all the new semester at Duncan Public Schools.
