2021 has gone by pretty fast for some people, every year is different for each human on earth. At the beginning of 2021, you had your expectations for that year, and again you maybe have the same for this year or maybe different. Some loved 2021 to pieces and want that year to be on repeat but they noticed it’s a new year and time to make new memories, not old.
Mason Harris, a 7th-grade student, explains how his 2021 went by great and how 2022 will be even better. A major change that helped him grow physically and mentally is that he started working out.
Harris says, “At the beginning of the year I was short and scrawny but since I started working out, I’m just short and not scrawny.”
Mason also said that working out has helped him glow up and he also started becoming more confident with his looks. His favorite parts of 2021 were making new friends and liking a girl. His plans for 2022 are to get a girlfriend, start karate, and play tennis.
Harris said, “I’m very single and lonely so I want a girlfriend. I’ve also been interested in karate for a while so I’m going to start lessons, and I think tennis is cool.”
7th-grade student Riley Hunter, speaks his view around 2021 and the expectation for 2022. The major change that he wants for him and his family is for his mom to get a new car, and my mom has wanted a new car.
Hunter said, “my favorite part about 2021 was hanging out with my bro and having a good time with them. It was a time that I got a break from everything and I was having a blast.”
For the rest of Riley Hunter’s semester, he wants to focus mostly on getting better at golf. Hunter states that golf is his favorite sport and he is glad that he gets to play for the middle school in the spring.
Riley Hunter says, “that my New Year resolution was to have a higher stroke, and I hope I achieve that through this year. Golf is my happy place and to do something that I love the most.”
Gerardo Moran, another 7th-grade student, explains his view of 2021 and how he thinks 2021 was the best year yet. He says 2021 was an awesome year and wishes it would just repeat itself. His favorite part of 2021 was getting good tips at work and seeing his friends.
Moran says, “I love all my friends and it’s so fun to see them during the summer because we can get snow cones and go swimming.”
Gerardo hopes 2022 will be a very chill and calm year and he wishes everything will just go his way this year. His 2022 resolution is to get good grades in school so he can end 7th-grade off well and start 8th-grade great.
Enjoy each day with your whole heart because you never know when it might be your last. So make those memories and make those happy days, even if you are having a bad day. Your year will go by fast or slow but you will make those memories with the people you love most.
