On February 4th through February 5th the Duncan Middle School Wrestling team including varsity and junior varsity will be going to the state championship. And before the state championship, people from the Duncan Wrestling team that are going to the state championship were interviewed such as Bryson Burton and Savion Markham.
Bryson Burton, a varsity wrestler in the seventh grade, for the Duncan Demons, has high hopes going into state with his mindset on getting 1st in his weight class is 105. Bryson also thinks that the other teams probably will not do well and his team will be the best there is.
And Savion Markham in the eighth grade, with the weight class of 87 and on the varsity team, says he has really high hopes to get third place out of the whole tournament. And he was asked if he thinks he has done better since his very first practice of the year and he said “ Yeah I think I have improved a lot this year and in the past as well. And I think I am going to do a very good performance at state this year. And my team is going to do well to at least I hope so”
