Two eighth grade Academic reporters asked eighth grade stem students. These stem students are in power of electrons. In this class you build little sheds, put in electricity, do the walls/roof, and do landscaping. The students have to have 3 circuits in their shed electricity wise. The three circuits are 2 series circuits and 1 parallel circuit. Every different step has points that are separate; these will overall become the total grade once added up and every different step has separate due dates.
The first student the Academic reporters asked questions to was Bryson Poindexter. When asked if Poindexter liked doing the shed project, Poindexter likes doing the shed because they are easy and he can talk to his friends while doing it. They then asked Poindexter if putting the circuits in the shed was hard, Poindexter said that it wasn’t hard to do because it’s easy and fun. When Poindexter was asked if doing this shed project was difficult, Poindexter said that it wasn’t especially since he has his friends in that class that can help him.
The second student the Academic reporters asked questions to was Jackson Wisdom. Wisdom doesn’t like doing the shed because it can be hard putting it together and doing the landscaping. Wisdom said that it was easy to put the circuits into the shed, but the other stuff is not so easy. When Wisdom was asked if he thought the project overall was difficult, Wisdom said that it was somewhat difficult because of the roof.
The third student that the Academic reporters asked questions to was River Tate. Tate says that he likes doing this shed project because I like doing hands-on activities. When Tate was asked if he thought putting the electrical circuits in the shed was hard, Tate said he has dealt with wires and soldering before so this was not new to him like it was to many other students. Again Tate thinks that this project is not difficult because he has done stuff like this before.
