Wrestling season is almost over, some girls are excited, while others are disappointed.
The wrestling duel, which was scheduled for today, was postponed because of concerns over the weather.
Emma Bridges, a seventh grade athlete, said she’s sad the duel was postponed, but she also didn’t really want to go in the first place.
Bridges said that she will be practicing on that day, sadly. She was hoping to have a day off, but she still has to practice. Although she wanted to go to the duel, she also doesn’t really care that the duel got postponed.
On the other hand, Bernice Drew-Lewis, an eighth grade athlete, said she’s pretty happy that the duel got postponed.
Drew-Lewis said, unfortunately, the female wrestlers are going to practice, but it will help her improve her wrestling skills. She’s said she’s kind of disappointed the duel got postponed, but the situation will help them all get better since they still have to practice.
Hannah Huff, an eighth grade athlete, said she doesn’t really know how to feel now that the duel got postponed.
Huff doesn’t really like that it was postponed and wishes it never got postponed. She thinks it’ll help the team since they get to practice a little more, and it’ll help them try harder once the duel finally comes up.
The duel will be dated later in the month, although no official date on when the duel is going to happen has been determined.
