Duncan middle school is having a dance on March 24th. Mrs. Barker, one of the teachers chose the theme for this dance which is Mardi Gras. This dance is also a fundraiser for the school and the entry fee is five dollars. Students at Duncan Middle School are very excited. The Duncan Middle School Newspaper interviewed three students, Jackelyn Marshall, Jensen Prince, and Alexis Billings.
Jackelyn Marshall was asked how she felt about the dance. ‘’I’m excited I just don’t know what I’m going to wear,’’ Marshall says she is going to wear something that really goes with the theme. She is going to go to the dance with Jesse Chastain. She thinks that the dance will be very helpful for the school. Jackelyn thinks that five dollars are a really good price for the entry fee. She really likes the theme. If she could pick a theme she would pick the ‘’a ball” theme.
Next Jensen Prince was asked and he said “I’m very excited about the dance!” He says he doesn’t know what he is going to wear because the dance isn’t until March. Prince is going to go with his friends. “The dance will be really helpful towards the school.” He thinks that the price is perfect for the dance because almost everyone gets a chance to go. Prince thinks the theme is great but if he could pick a different theme it would be a sport-themed dance.
Alexis Billings is very excited about the dance. Billings is going to wear a masquerade mask and other Mardi Gras things. She said that she is going to go with Jack Lovette. She thinks the dance will be very helpful to the school because so many students go and the money that they pay for entry goes towards the school. “The price is perfect, it’s not too cheap and not too expensive,” she says. Billings loves the theme but if she could pick a theme she would pick Valentines as a theme. The Duncan Middle School Students are very excited about the dance.
