Tuesday night’s football games ended with a win for the Duncan Middle School eighth-grade team and a loss for the seventh-grade team.
The eighth-grade team did well, beating Elgin 49-14, making this the second consecutive win.
Tate Wilkins, eighth-grade quarterback, said the eighth-grade team can still improve, but he is proud of his team for trying to play hard to the end.
The seventh-grade team didn’t fare as well as the eighth-graders. The seventh-grade team lost 14-7, making this their second loss.
Wilkins said the seventh-grade team has a lot to work on, but he was proud the team members were able to keep the score close.
The football teams will next play at 5 and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, when they face Lawton Eisenhower Middle School.
