The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) now seeks applicants every year to serve as content experts for the subject cycle review of instructional materials submitted to the Oklahoma State Textbook Committee (STC) for their consideration and approval. The 2023 subject cycle is Grades PK-12 Mathematics and Early Childhood Education (Comprehensive).
Individuals selected to serve on the STC Content Review Teams will receive training to review materials utilizing a rubric adopted by the STC and will receive access to all vendor-based materials to review for the subject area they will be asked to review.
Individuals are encouraged to apply for the following Content Review Teams for the state cycle for PK-12 Mathematics and Early Childhood (Comprehensive).
- Grades PK-5 Mathematics
- Grades 6-12 Mathematics
- Early Childhood (Comprehensive)
For the Early Childhood Education (Comprehensive) Content Review Team, applicants must have an Oklahoma teaching certificate that allows them to teach ECE. Administrators, instructional coaches, interventionists, librarians, and others with relevant experience and expertise are also encouraged to apply.
For the PreK-12 Mathematics applicants, applicants must have an Oklahoma teaching certificate that allows them to teach Mathematics for grades PreK-12 (i.e., Early Childhood, Elementary, Mid-Level, Intermediate, Advanced Mathematics, Math Specialist). Administrators and instructional coaches, curriculum coordinators, and math specialists with relevant experience and expertise are also encouraged to apply.
