On Saturday, Stacy Pena (Turner) and Justin Pena got married. They were dating for a total of 10 months prior to Justin popping the question.
When asked about why he wanted to marry Stacy he stated “Everything she brings to this life is good.” When asked to describe his wedding in one word he said “I would say one word would have to be amazing because we got to see friends and family some of which we haven’t seen in a long time.” He also stated, ” I would say our wedding was sort of traditional, but also laid back, because we both were married and divorced prior to meeting each other, so we both agreed that you don’t need a big fancy wedding to show you are married, you just need a strong love for each other.”
When Stacy was asked about the planning and preparation that went into the wedding she stated, “The planning was easy and simple.” When she was asked about her emotions during the wedding ceremony, she stated, “I was extremely exited, as well as nervous, however I was ready to officially become Mrs.Pena.”
Many co workers attended the wedding and were there to support two of their faculty becoming wedded as one. Bubba Clark, one of the schools councilors got the honor to officiate the wedding at Clarks church, Addington First Baptist, where he preaches. Mark Hays, one of the 8th Grade science teachers, was there during the ceremony.
There is a joke between the faculty about Stacy being hays’ daughter, because he has a daughter that looks similar to her, so when interviewed he jokingly stated, ” I was deeply offended that Justin did not ask for my permission.” He went on to say, “So me and some of the 8th grade teachers organized a plan for whenever they asked if there were any objections to the marriage we all would stand up. ”
Stacy stated, “when me and Justin saw the 8th grade teachers stand up to object, me and him broke out into laughter, because we were not expecting that.”
Hays stated, ” With all jokes aside, the reception was beautiful, and the wedding was very pleasant, subtle, and nice.”
