Red Dead Redemption 2 is an action adventure game released in 2018 that was developed and published by Rockstar Games. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption. You play as Arthur Morgan, an outlaw that is part of the Van der Linde gang, who experienced major complications in a job they were doing in a town called Blackwater. Throughout the story you can decide whether your version of Arthur will find morals or continue his life as a murderer and thief. You gain an emotional attachment to the characters as the gang falls apart and the law closes in. It is a truly amazing experience.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most realistic games that has ever been made. It features things like completely random encounters that can happen anywhere, a hair growth system, many types and combinations of clothing, and many types of diverse wildlife. You can kill, skin, and sell animals. You can even make clothes out of them. NPCs remember your past actions. Dead animals you leave on the side of the road slowly decompose.
Even after you complete the main story of Red Dead Redemption 2, there is so much more to do. There are 16 legendary animals to hunt in the game. When you kill a legendary animal you can sell its pelt and turn it into clothes. There are nine challenges which get more and more complex as you progress through them. There are gang hideouts across the map which are filled with rival gangs. There are many, many side missions that can have unique rewards, be filled with lore, or that provide a very cool experience, and make the world feel even more immersive.
I may be a little late to inform anyone reading this of the game, but if you somehow have not heard of this game before this, get it and play it. It is 100% worth it.
