During the 1920s and 1930s, Halloween candy started growing popular but it was only during the 1950s that it became a tradition. Halloween candy is typical candy that adults and sometimes kids will give out on Halloween. Many kids, teens, and sometimes even adults will dress up in great costumes to go trick or treating, which is where you get the Halloween candy. On Halloween, there are many different activities that kids and adults can participate in. These activities consist of haunted houses, games, trunk or treats, and trick or treating. For years my family and I have been going trick or treating and dressing up as many different characters. Trick or treating is one of the main reasons that people celebrate Halloween and it has been going on for many decades. The phrase “trick or treat” means that if a treat like candy, sweets, or toys is given to the child a trick will not be performed on the house of that person. Many different types of candies are given out on Halloween like chocolate, sour, tart, and fruity candy. My personal favorite is Snickers because I love the combination of chocolate, caramel, peanuts, and nougat. A good runner-up would have to be Sweet Tarts because they are fruity and a little sour. Halloween is honestly one of my favorite holidays and I’m glad that this year I get to spend it with my friends.
