The Suika Game is a puzzle game that is based around fruit. It is a simple and very cute game where you drop fruit into a box, and if two fruits of the same type touch each other, they merge into a larger fruit. You gain more score every time fruits merge, the higher along the evolution path the more points you will get. You “beat” the game once you make a watermelon, although around that time your score will only be around 2,500. Your score can still go higher than that, and when you combine two watermelons they simply disappear, allowing you much more room to merge fruits. You lose the round whenever a fruit gets out of the box.
Despite this game’s simple instructions it can prove to be quite challenging. It is hard to get the fruits to stay where you want them to and because of their circular shapes they are always shifting around. A lot of the time when fruits merge it can launch smaller fruits out of the box, ending your round. I have unfortunately never combined two watermelons, but I have gotten close to combining them. I struggle with finding out the best strategies with the small fruits, and enough of them can clog all of the spaces allowing for no room for the fruits to move around in. I am well on my way to reaching a score of 3,000.
