Academics editor discusses his opinion on Christmas break

Christmas break is coming around, extremely slowly. I’m here to share my opinion about the Christmas break. In my opinion, we should get Christmas break on the 12th, so everyone has time to mess around in school for 2 days and watch Polar Express for the 80th time with their friends. We can also have time to give our friends gifts for Christmas, and the teachers can assign food days or parties on those 2 days for their students. The reason why they should do this is because it will benefit the students by giving them a longer break and it will also help with stress. It will help teachers by giving them more time to plan for assignments once the students come back from the break. It could also relieve the teachers’ stress and allow them to spend time with their kids. Plus the days between the 11th and the 19th, none of the teachers normally give out unnecessary work, and when they do it’s to meet the grade requirements. The students barely learn anything during the last couple of days so why not just get rid of them? Overall, this is my opinion on Christmas break, but I’m excited about it.
