At DMS students recently returned from Christmas break. During the break, we started a new year and during the New Year, it is common for people to make resolutions. Common resolutions are to better yourself in an activity. Whether it be sports or hobbies. Other resolutions might include taking better care of yourself and being more consistent with things.
Case Howen is a student at DMS who wanted to improve and be better himself in different areas of his life, one of Howen’s goals is to get better at sports. “I have a desire to get better at golf.” He said, “For my future self, I wanna say good luck to him.”
6th grade student, Kenna Ballard, is looking forward to this new year and what it will hold, Ballard said,
“If I had anything to say for my future self this year, I would say stay strong in what you’re doing right now and don’t let the uncertainty of this year change who you are.”
Another 6th Grader, Tiana Bracekens, has goals that are more focused on finances.
Brackens said, “I wanna collect more money so that my future self would be proud. Also, I would be more financially stable and able to buy things I want later on.”
To conclude, many students made goals and resolutions for themselves in the coming year. They made these goals to better themselves and their lives.
