Star Base is a club that provides an exclusive space for 4th-6th grade students to learn and engage in STEM-related activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The club strives to offer a range of fun and educational programs to help students develop their interest and understanding of these subjects. It aims to create a secure and supportive environment that allows students to learn, experiment, and explore these fields with like-minded peers.
Ryan Shaelely is a sixth-grade student in Starbase. In particular, Shaelely likes it when they can build their rockets. He recommends that more students join the Star Base program while they can.
Another member, Lillina Cave said, “I enjoy Starbase because Mr. Gains mainly controls the chaos.” Cave had another opinion on Star Base: “I would like more people to join Starbase.”
Deondre Gaines is one of the faces in Starbase, Gains is known for being happy and remembering students. He organizes most of the time, projects like rocket building, and the places the kids go. Gains also has control over all the kids, especially chaotic ones.
JD Gdanski, a member of Star Base also finds Star Base enjoyable, mostly he enjoys all the projects they are available to do. Like the others, he recommends that more students join Starbase.
Keira Corp is a member of the Star Base program, Corp mentions what they plan on doing, “As of now the group continues to work on their rockets, although we have plans to work on wooden Co2 Cars later on during the year.” Corp mentioned, “I want more people to join the group. It is fun with all the hands-on activities” She also said, “It helps me visualize how things work.”
Ane Strong is also a member of Star Base, and wanted to give her opinion: “I enjoy Star Base for learning new things like how to build rockets and eventually the CO2 cars.” She stated, “ I want to encourage more students to join Star Base because it’s a fun learning experience.”
