To get this information out of the way, I have the platinum trophy in Jedi: Survivor. I have experienced a very large portion of what the game has to offer, but I have under no definition experienced everything. I can not begin to describe the amount of detail and secrets in the game, along with a ridiculous amount of lore in the form of force echoes.
The game begins in the capital of the galaxy, Coruscant. Your journey on the planet ends with killing the Ninth Sister, an Inquisitor for the Empire. You then get to progress through the story, free to unlock all secrets you could wish to unlock. I will not add any spoilers, but I will say that the people at Respawn Entertainment did an amazing job with plot twists and making any romance feel fluid and not like they are forcing it. It is a beautiful continuation of Cal Kestis’s story, and the third game I’m sure will be just as good. This game adds three new lightsaber stances for Cal to use, along with an insane amount of customization compared to the first game. Because of how much larger the game is, there is much more lightsaber customization, as well as full BD-1 customization. BD-1 is Cal’s droid. You also have full customization of a blaster you get later in the game.
The bosses in this game are perfect. Some were a bit of a challenge, but I died no more than 15 times throughout the story. None of the bosses felt like they were unnecessary, and the bosses you can find randomly throughout the world also feel like welcome editions. The rancor, a boss you can find on the second planet, Koboh, is by far my favorite boss. I have always loved the rancor, they are my favorite creatures in Star Wars lore, and to be able to fight one as a Jedi is awesome.
There are a lot of collectibles in this game. It’s why it took me 50 hours to get the platinum trophy. Not because you have to find every collectible, with all of the force and health essences that there are, it would take forever, not to mention the Jedha Scrolls, perks, lightsabers parts, BD-1 parts, blaster parts, bounty hunters, seed pods, music tracks, clothing, hair, and facial hair. The facial hair can get quite ridiculous. You also have to collect the different material styles separately from the clothes pieces, adding even more to find. You can also collect different weapon materials, separate from BD-1 materials.
Overall you should play Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. It will almost definitely be a great experience, one that is unforgettable. Be aware it does take up 150 gigabytes of storage.
