Sports Editor talks about WIN activities

Last year during W.I.N. students would go to the gym and play all sorts of games on the court while others stayed in the bleachers talking to their friends and having a good time. Other kids who had missed work would go to a classroom and finish their work. We would also go outside and play volleyball or basketball and other games. After that school year ended they stopped letting kids go to the gym and sit in the bleachers. I think this is because the new gym Duncan Middle School just got renewed. Although, it got renewed all sorts of kids are playing in the gym at all times, and sports are played on the gym floor as well. I think they should let students go to the gym and have a good time with friends and play fun games. All we do this school year is sit in our classroom and do boring stuff or go outside and have nothing to do. This school year has changed a lot and not in a good way. Yes, school is about focusing on work and a lot of other things but we shouldn’t have to feel trapped and stressed over school. It should be fun and we should have a fun time as well.
