At DMS Spring Break will start for students, teachers, and faculty. The break is happening between the 15th through the 24th of March, with students returning on March 25th.
Some 8th Graders have already talked about what they were going to do over the break. 8th-grade Elisabeth Thomas is one of them.
“I would spend time with my favorite people, but I’ll maybe start spring cleaning and try finding a summer job for myself,” Thomas said.
She also said that Spring Break can be an important factor in taking time off from school, and it gives opportunities for doing certain things.
Benjamin Wortham is another student in the 8th grade, who will also try to find a job for himself.
“I feel that people need this break off because of the fact it helps with not only taking a break from schoolwork but from the stress that they might have,” Wortham said.
He also said that he would spend time with his friends since he enjoys hanging out with them.
The ten-day break not only gives time off from middle school but also allows students to do as they please and support themselves in the best way possible with the service opportunity events that are currently spreading work in Oklahoma.
