See you at the Pole is a global student-led organization done in schools. The first event happened on September 12, 1990, when a group of teenagers in Burleson, Texas felt needed to pray. They would gather around the flagpoles of their school before the beginning of the school semester and pray. Later they would send the challenge to other students in Texas to pray too. Since then See You at the Pole takes place every 4th Wednesday of September.
On September 25th, DMS, the event began at 7:30, songs were played and donuts were handed out before 3 people spoke in front of the flagpole, Adyson Cook, Collins Budowsky, and Paislee Roberson. They all read about the power of prayer.
Adyson Cook said, “Prayer can get you out of storms”. Cook thinks there were many students there, but she hopes more people come to the next See You at the Pole. She believes that See You at the Pole can help students learn more about Christ and it can lead them the right way. She sometimes does bible study either in the library or the wrestling room.
Collins Budowsky said that the worship songs were really good and could help students get to God. Budowsky claimed, “There was a good amount at See you at the Pole.” She believes that See You at the Pole can get people closer to Jesus.
Paislee Robinson said the girls who spoke stood out to her. Robinson also said there was a good amount of people there and she wasn’t expecting that many people. Robinson claimed that if we do more bible studies like See You at the Pole students will hear what Jesus said and learn the right thing to do. Collins and Paislee shared the quote in Philippians 4:13. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
