Derrick Miller, journalism teacher, directs students and traffic after school Wednesday, while students leave for the night. Starting Friday, students will be on Fall Break.
Fall break is coming up. This is the time when students get a few days break from school, starting Friday and lasting through Tuesday, for a total of 5 day, including the weekend.
During Fall Break student and teachers go on vacation, sleep in, try something new, go outside and run around with friends, as well as go hang out with other friends and family.
Sixth-grade Jessica Hernandez and Alexis Teitelbaum, a seventh-grade student, shared their thoughts on Fall Break.
Teitelbaum said she was going to Oklahoma City to go see her mom. Hernandez said she was going to Texas with her family.
Teitelbaum said Fall Break is important because students get out of school. Hernandez said she is looking forward to hanging out with friends and sleeping in.
Both said it just says it should be longer.
