On Saturday, the University of Oklahoma Sooners will play the Oklahoma State University Cowboys in the annual Bedlam rivalry.
Throughout the week, Duncan Middle School has promoted the rivalry with money jars set up in the office to raise money for the Stephens County Humane Society. Today was Bedlam and Hat Day at DMS.
Several students weighted in on which team they support, who they think will win, how intense the game will be, if they are going or watching it on TV, and if they have put any money into the money jars.
DMS eighth-grader Jake Irwin, DMS librarian Barbara Gee and DMS seventh-grader Caleb Ramsey shared their thoughts on the game. Irwin and Gee said they think OU will win. Ramsey thinks OSU will win.
Gee said she thinks the game will be intense this year.
“Yes because OSU is better this year,” she said.
Ramsey also thinks the game will be really intense.
OU has an 8-1 season and is ranked No. 6. OSU has a 5-4 season and is not ranked.
Irwin said he will be going to Norman to watch the game. Ramsey plans to watch the game on TV. And Gee doesn’t plan to watch the game.
Ramsey also donated $2 to the donation jars to give OSU a boost. Neither Irwin nor Gee donated money yet.
