The “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” movie franchise has been known for their hilarious portrayal of the hot, emo and adorably obnoxious character Rodrick Heffley, the older brother of the main character, Greg.

However, for the upcoming movie, 20th Century Fox has replaced Devon Bostick with actor Charlie Wright in the upcoming “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul.” I absolutely hate this decision. Bostick will forever be my Rodrick.

Let me tell you why.

First of all, I do respect Wright as an actor, and I do hope that for the sake of the movie, he does a good job of portraying the character. However, he looks like Willy Wonka.

You can’t just change a notable character like Rodrick. They could have at least gotten someone who looked like Bostick to play the role. They didn’t.

There are several memes about this; some are funny, but others are pretty mean. Overall, Bostick will forever be my Rodrick. Wright will forever be #NotMyRodrick.

The new movie is set to be released May 19.
