Students, teachers celebrate Valentine’s Day
Today is Valentine’s Day, and all across Duncan Middle School students and teachers are exchanging gifts with friends and loved ones.
The holiday, which is celebrated every Feb. 14, has been the focus of several projects at DMS, including in Roseanna Hamilton’s art classes. Despite the gift exchanges, gift deliveries are not allowed at DMS.
No school Friday, Monday
In honor of President’s Day, Duncan Public School will not have school Friday or Monday. These two days off were placed on the 2023-24 school calendar in the last school year and approved by the Duncan Board of Education.
Spring portraits, sports photos scheduled for next Wednesday
Students will have the opportunity to get their spring portrait taken Feb. 21, when Grandlife Photography arrives at DMS. Spring portraits will be taken of those who bring money to purchase those photos. Photo order forms were passed out in first hour classes this week.
Additionally, spring sports photos will also be taken Feb. 21. Those photos will consist of group photos and individual photos for those who are buying them.
Math Counts competition set for Saturday
