We should have more virtual days.
These days allow us to do our work at our own pace. They also show who in class actually does their work when no one is there to tell them to.
The only downside would be that if you don’t have a charger or good WiFi, then you probably won’t be able to do your work without struggling.
Duncan Public Schools had its first virtual day on Friday, and three more are scheduled for the school year. I would say there are more pros than cons to virtual days.
For instance, if you’re hungry, then you can just eat. If you want to take a break, then you can. If you want to play video games, then you can.
You can do almost anything, but if you don’t do your work, then you’re going to have a lot of things to do the next day or two, depending if you’re a slow or fast worker.
Some of the cons include if you can’t charge your Chromebook, then you can only do so much work before the battery dies. Other cons would include not having WiFi and not being able to do work without a hotspot, if you have more homework needing to be done on top of the virtual work, then you have more to do. If you don’t have a Chromebook, paper assignments were given.
I’d rather have virtual days anyways because I get more freedom to do my own things.
