Poetry is very cool, and I like to write poetry.
I enjoy writing Haikus the most. Haikus are a traditional Japanese form of poetry with a three line 5-7-5 structure.
I read Shakespeare as well.
It ties into my favorite book, which is “Shakespeare Bats Cleanup” by Ron Koertge. It’s about a 14 year old boy who has mono, and he is forced to sit out of his baseball season.
He uses poetry to help with the boredom. He figured out poetry by looking at his dad’s book. I really like this book because it shows how poetry can help with the boredom that he was going through.
I just enjoyed writing in general. I like writing essays and stories.
I like when my English teacher says we are writing essays, and I am so happy we are writing because I can write for hours. It’s fun just to write when I am bored instead of using my phone and rotting in bed.
I write in different ways each time.
One day it could be some songs that are in my head, or another it could be poems or essays that are due in one day that I procrastinated so hard on.
