Thanksgiving is soon, it’s one of my favorite holidays.
One of the reasons it’s among my favorite holidays is because of the history. Thanksgiving has a long history that goes all the way back to 1621, with a beginning in Plymouth and Wampanoag.
The first Thanksgiving was held in 1621, in Virginia, which brought the Plymouth pilgrims and Wampanoag people together.
My family normally goes to family or friends for Thanksgiving and the food is so good. There are many foods like mac and cheese, ham and turkey.
Another favorite part of Thanksgiving is the football. The football games are always fun like the Dallas Cowboys versus Kansas Chiefs Chief and more team faceoffs.
There is also a parade that has some of the coolest balloons in my opinion, including classic balloons such as Snoopy. But normally I just sleep in on Thanksgiving, so I don’t always get to watch the parade from the beginning.
Schools even recognize this holiday by giving us a break, which is so nice.
It’s celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Many other countries celebrate or have similar celebrations, including Canada and Liberia.
I almost love how it is celebrated in the later months, so it’s not too cold but not warm.Those are a couple of reason why i think that thanks giving is one of the best holidays to exist.
