A Duncan Middle School eighth-grader’s drawing was selected for the cover of the 2016-17 yearbook.
Elizabeth Saathoff won the art competition hosted by the Academic committee of the DMS yearbook, The Flame. The contest was open throughout the month of September, ending Friday.
In the competition, students had to draw their best Duncan Demon. Nearly 40 entries were received.
Saathoff said she entered the competition because she enjoys drawing.
The selected drawing will appear on the cover of the upcoming yearbook. Other entries are set to appear on various pages throughout the book.
The 2016-17 yearbooks are available for pre-order.
