Football practice for the eighth grade is amping up.
Josh Franklin knows that things are about to get more intense, because soon, the football boys are going to start hitting. All the strength training, conditioning, and foot work drills have been preparing them for this moment. Now, it’s time to put their skills to the test.
Franklin says “Big Boom Boom Boy”
Franklin understands that hitting drills and physical contact can be exhausting, but he’s very excited. He knows that learning proper technique will help him stay safe and play at his best. His coaches emphasize keeping his head up, using his body correctly, and working together as a team to improve their defensive and offensive skills.
Even though hitting is tough for him, Josh thinks it’s one of the most exciting parts of football. It makes the game feel real, and it brings the team even closer. They encourage each other through the hard moments, celebrate when someone does something great, and remind each other that they’re all in it together.
Josh is confident that all this hard work, both in the weight room and on the field, will make the team unstoppable next season. He believes that if they keep practicing, keep pushing, and keep trusting each other, they’ll dominate in games and prove that they’re the best.
For Josh, football practice is about testing his limits, building confidence, and proving to himself that hard work always pays off.
