Swim coach Deven Speed is excite about the new swim season and is feeling great about it.

Speed prepares her swimmers for their upcoming meets by telling them, “This is work okay. Treat this meet like this is your last time swimming.”
Speed has 18 years of competitive swimming herself, which she followed up with her coaching career.
Eighth-grade Isla Martin is one of the members of the swim team. Martin said likes swim because it makes her feel accomplished.
She has been swimming for two years. Her favorite thing about swimming is getting to hang out in the water. She likes swimming because it’s fun.
She doesn’t feel prepared for the feature because she doesn’t have a lot of time to practice because she does other sports and actives.
John-Thomas Saenz, another eighth-grader who does swim, likes to swim very much.
“I think it’s a good sport, and more people should join,” Saenz said.
This is his first year of swimming. He does swim because he wanted to pick a sport that’s competitive, but not too competitive.
