It was every grade for themselves, and sixth-grade walked away victors.
Duncan Middle School hosted the annual Reindeer Games, a series of activities that showcased which grade level was top. The games took place during Advisory and much of third hour on Thursday.
The games included everything from a pizza box topple to a rousing game of live-action Hungry, Hungry Hippos. The games saw students selected from the audience to be participants.
Sixth-grade won most of the games. Although seventh-grade followed closely in second. And eighth-grade, winning a lone game of blowing marshmallows with a straw, ended in dead last.
Teachers even got in on the action in a couple of categories. Teachers competed in toppling each other’s pizza boxes, a game science teacher Darren Ross won. And teachers took part in a mattress slide that saw a group of coaching claiming the admiration of the student body, following their win.
PE teachers Eddie Mullins and Kathryn Jeffords headed up the Reindeer Games.
