Christmas may still be a day away, but the celebrations of the season came to Duncan Middle School because break began.

In her class, math teacher Melanie Harris had students build Christmas villages. Harris invited teachers to vote on their top three favorite villages, all of varying creativity and intricacy.
Some of the village contained Christmas-themed items, such as Christmas trees and candy canes, while other opted for signs wishing visitors a merry Christmas.
The Christmas village project was just one of the ways Christmas showed up at DMS in the week(s) leading up to Christmas Break.
The school also hosted Christmas Crashout, where students and teachers dress-up according to daily themes. DMS also held its annual Reindeer Games on Thursday, which was the last day before break.
DMS will be on Christmas Break through Jan. 5. Students will return on Jan. 6.
