The NJHS students from DMS recently went on a trip to the local schools of Duncan. They were participating in Read across America.
During this time they traveled around the town reading to kids. The ages of kids being read to ranged from ages 4 to 10.
The local Read Across America event, was planned by Duncan Middle School teacher Sherry McGhghy with the help of DMS social studies teacher Matt Davis.
“I loved how we could interact with kids,” said eighth-grade NJHS secretary, Brianna Stuck. “Overall the trip was a great success. The kids seemed to enjoy it.”
