Last week DMS eighth-grade Basketball teams went to their first tournament of the season at Crooked Oak. Both teams made it past the first round. The girls placed third and the boys placed fourth.

Jaedyn Harvey, number 30 on the girls basketball team thought that the team did well in the tournament. Harvey also thought they could’ve shot better in the tournament. She was both unhappy and happy with their performance.

Chris Kouts, number 25 played center for the eighth-grade boys basketball team. Kouts thought he did good and got a lot of rebounds in the tournament. He also thought that they could’ve passed better.

Both players said they had fun in the tournament. All DMS basketball teams play the Elgin Owls on Thursday, the 21st. The girls play at Elgin and the boys play at home. The seventh-grade games start at 5:00 and the eighth-graders play at 6:30.
