Cross Country meet postponed

Today’s cross country meet was canceled because of a threat of severe weather in the area.

Rain today has made the course muddy and unusable for running. The meet was scheduled to be in Redbud Park in Marlow for the Marlow Cross Country Invitational.

This was supposed to be the second meet of the year, following Saturday’s meet at New Hope Baptist Church West.

The Marlow Invitational was a one-mile meet and is often considered by runners to be the easiest meet of the year.

The meet is likely to be rescheduled for later in the season.

The next cross country meet will be Sept. 11 at Cameron University.
